What Pipeline is pleased to present A Alternatives, Isaac Pool's first solo exhibition at the
Pool will show a new body of photographic collages and sculptures that engage with a
perverse sense of realism, straddling between fictional narrative and material investment. This
will also mark the premiere of Pool's film "A Alternatives", the final project in a series of
works narrated by Sally Johnson. Sally's role, a character previously specific to Pool, will be
shared between three other actors in this project.
"A Alternatives" was filmed across the span of a year between New York, Detroit and Los Angeles. The video features a wardrobe designed by Bradley Callahan (B.Calla) and a soundtrack produced by Samuel Consiglio (Tamion 12 inch, ADULT.) and Colin Self (HD Boyz, Chez Deep).
Isaac Pool (b. 1988, Detroit) lives and works in New York. He received a BFA from Wayne State University in 2011 and a MFA from Parsons The New School for Design in 2013.
